Faith on the Stormy Sea

Matthew 14:22-33

Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”

The Miracle's Significance: The story is seen as a parable about faith. It shows that while it takes faith to step out of one's comfort zone, one must keep their focus on Jesus to avoid sinking under the weight of fear and doubt, especially during difficult times.

Aftermath: Jesus's rebuke of Peter highlights the importance of trust and the contrast between faith and doubt. Once Jesus and Peter got back into the boat, the storm calmed.
